My Hotty Toddy Snowman

Today was a CRAZY day. It snowed several inches. Probably snowed more than I have seen in 10 years at least!! Mississippi weather... it was 70 on Tuesday and the high today was 34. It started with ice and then the snow came pouring down. We had so much fun (ok, i had more fun than anyone in my family- kanon was too cold, Steven wouldn't even go outside, and Mari Blake is too little to play in the snow) We played at our house first in our PJs(and coats) and then we went down the street to play with Katie and Luke. It was freezing but fun. Kanon wasn't loving it like me. He liked it at first but then he was ready to go inside and get warm ( i think he gets it from his daddy). We played for awhile and then went inside to warm up. Later on, I saw my neighbor and his wife building a snowman. I SO badly wanted one! I tried to make it bigger but my hands were freezing even with my gloves on. I love the snow, but I am a Mississippi girl. I couldn't take it, so he turned out small but cute!! It was a fun day! I heard on the news that it has snowed 3 times in MS this year... jan, march and now dec... hasn't happened in 45 years.

What a great experience this is every year!!! HAHA!! Steven and I took the kiddos to see Santa Claus today. So far, our experiences haven't been that bad. Kanon could really care less about him in the 2 previous years but not this year. He was so excited the whole way there. He kept saying "we going to see santa". He waved to him the whole time we were in line and said over and over "there he is... there is santa" BUT when it was our turn he wasn't too happy. He cried and kicked (sorry santa he is 2, and we are in the terrible 2's for sure!!!) and wouldn't sit in his lap. Mari Blake was just starring at him like WHAT? She just looked at us and was fine. Her big brother was causing a scene, but he finally sat in the chair beside him. We got this picture. It's pretty bad, but at least they were both looking at the camera. And of course, when we were leaving Kanon looked back and said Bye Santa and was happy as can be.

What a great day for the rebels!! We killed LSU 31-13 in Death Valley. I wish I could have been there, but I was home watching it in HD with my sweet Granny, my mom, Steven, Clay, Ryleigh and my babies. Ole Miss is getting better every game, and I am loving life right now! We held LSU to 39 rushing yards and Snead had a career day. YAY!!! Houston Nutt is a genius! Coach of the Year!! (He's got my vote!!) HOTTTTTY TODDDDY!!!

Mari Blake was dedicated at Pinelake on November 14, 2008. She was so good and looked absolutely beautiful. She was dedicated with her cousin, Hogan and several friends, Logan Hall and Luke Wesson. We had a great night. Kanon was pretty good, but he did yell from our seat across the church...Pop, Mimo, everyone. He saw our whole family and got real excited.

We had a great Halloween this year. Kanon was a monkey and Mari Blake was a pink poodle. We went trick or treating Thursday night in Turtle Ridge with all of our family, and Friday night we went to a fun Halloween party at the Grantham home. Kanon had his first school party on Thursday. He had fun and really enjoyed the cupcake.

What a fun night!!! Me, Steven, Kanon, Nana & Pop all went to Sesame Street Live. Mari Blake stayed home with Mimo & Poppy. Kanon had a blast. It live was so precious. We were on the floor in the center on the 8th row. Great Seats!! His mouth was open the whole time. He was so excited! During intermission he kept saying "more, more sesame street" "peez" and when we got home he said his prayers and we always say "God bless...." Tonight he said our whole family then grover, elmo, big bird, and the rest of the cast. This sweet little boy is in love with them. What a great memory! So glad they came to Jackson!!

Me and Kanon went to the pumpkin patch today with a group of madison mommies. It was so much fun! Kanon loved the animals, the hayride, the pumpkins, and the swing. He didn't want to get off the swing to leave. He kept falling off and thought it was hilarious! MB stayed at home, so it was great to spend some quality time with my little man. It was so cold, too. We got to snuggle on the hayride which was my favorite part!
